INSTRUCTIONS FOR UNFOLDING THE ANTENNA:

• Undo velcro strap

• Rotate the top two element rods (farthest from the handle) until each are at 90° (right angle) to the center mast.

• Loosen the screws on the center balun just enough to allow the small T-Match rods to be inserted freely. DO NOT loosen the lug screws that hold the T-Match rods to the driven element. These two lug screws should never be loosened, and should be tightened if they become loose.

• Open up the center two element rods carefully, and insert the T-Match rods into the balun holes until the elements are set at 90° or at right angles to the center mast.

• Tighten balun screws firmly, but do NOT overtighten. Overtightening the balun screws may cause the screw lug to turn and become misaligned. If this occurs, realign the lugs and tighten the mounting screw, being careful not to crack the plexiglas spacer.

• Finally, rotate out the two element rods closest to the handle until they are likewise at 90° to the center mast.

FOR THE MK4 SNIFFER:
Connect the MK4 box to the antenna’s BNC connector; use the BNC adapter provided.

FOR THE L-PER:
Connect the coax cable from the L-PER to the antenna. For best results, use the cable provided, as it is a specifically calibrated length.

FOR ANY OTHER RECEIVER:
Connect the coax cable to the receiver. Note: An antennuator may be required when using a radio receiver or scanner.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FOLDING THE ANTENNA:

• Reverse the unfolding procedure by first folding up the two element rods closest to the handle so they rest against the center mast.

• Unscrew the balun screws just enough to loosen and release the T-Match rods and fold up the center rods.

• Fold down the top two elements against the center mast, and secure with velcro strap.

• Finally, tighten the balun screws so they are snug, so that they don’t rattle loose and get lost.
